Two men have been charged related to a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A young child was one of the people hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

This event – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – led to train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
