The loved ones of teenagers missing after a devastating blaze at a bar in a Switzerland's alpine town are facing an agonising period of uncertainty for answers and appealing for clues about their loved ones publicly.

The fire ripped through the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the small hours of January 1st. Verified video show the roof structure catching alight as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Officials have stated that it could take considerable time to formally name the victims of the disaster, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and wounded another over a hundred. A spokesperson stated on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been identified, with the process continuing to name the remaining few.

In the waiting period, loved ones have been posting on the internet to plead for any news about their loved ones who were in attendance that fateful night.

Appeals for the Missing

The whereabouts of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.

The Italian Golf Federation has stated that he is no longer with us, without mentioning the fire, paying tribute to a "talented young man who carried with him passion and true sportsmanship."

His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An representative has clarified that a formal confirmation of his death is not yet.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also among the missing. His mother explained that he had been on vacation but had gone out with friends and ended up at the bar.

"A close friend informed me they ran away after the fire started and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he lost sight of him," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers stated, "I remember his kindness and smile, coupled with great responsibility. He would frequently ask if help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds dual Greek and Swiss nationality but lives full-time in the country, was also at the bar on that night, according to reports.

Her brother has posted an appeal online, saying the family has had "no information" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Officials from her country of origin say they are continuing to monitor the developments.
